Cute as a Button Push-pin Project

Here is a cute DIY project that only takes 5 minutes tops! I made about 60 button push-pins for the bulletin board that will hang over my craft table. I am ashamed to admit that I have not yet finished the bulletin board, but it is on my DIY to do list. This is how my push-pins turned out:

Supplies needed for this project:
~Hot glue gun and glue sticks
~Clear push-pins
~One piece of scrap cardboard or foam core board
~Buttons. I chose Happily Ever After Buttons from Two Peas in a Bucket
You can also use old broaches or earrings that can be found at most antique stores and flea markets.

Step 1:
Stick the push-pins into a scrap piece of cardboard. This will keep the push-pins in place while you glue the buttons on and it will keep any stray hot glue drips off of your table.

Step 2:
Glue the buttons to the head of the push-pins. Make sure that you use buttons with a flat bottom otherwise the buttons will not stick to the push-pins.

Step 3:
Let the glue cool for a few minutes before using the push-pins.

I have also started making magnets for a magnet board that will hang next to the bulletin board over my craft table. As soon as I finish making the magnets I will post the instructions.

Boy, you sure are creative. i love your ideas. Best part of all, you seem to act on them instead of putting your projects off. I can't wait to see how your nursery turns out. I'm all for the framed vintage pieces you posted about on The Nest.

Congrats on your baby to be
